Eileen has been teaching my son for almost three years, and my daughter for several months. She is a piano teacher who brings not only talent and appreciation of the piano to her lessons, but also a real understanding of teaching and how to reach young children. She realizes that different children are motivated by different things and teaches them each the way they learn best. My son has developed some great skills, but far more important to me is that he has a love for music and playing that so many students in piano lessons don't seem to share. I can tell already that Eileen has cultivated a lifelong musician. Her background working with special needs students has given her tools to make piano accessible and fun for everyone. - S. Zuba
"... a natural with children; she treats them with patience and respect. I am amazed by the progress my children make!" - Yana Fox
My husband and I are both music teachers; however, we have opted not to teach our own children. My daughter began with Eileen and her younger brother soon followed. Eileen not only teaches them piano, but also gives them a strong music foundation in theory as well. We can't imagine our children taking piano lessons from anyone else. Felicia Seigel
I've known Eileen for more than 30 years, and we bonded through music, collaborating several times over the years. I love the fact that I can recommend her whenever people ask me about good piano teachers in the area. She is a wonderful musician and creative teacher with the ability to build a great rapport with students of all ages. I've heard wonderful comments about her from people who followed up and gave her a call. We're lucky to have her in this area! M. Rabbai
I have known Eileen for fourteen years first as my daughter’s flute teacher and now as an employee working with children with autism spectrum disorders. With Eileen’s instruction my daughter blossomed from a beginning flute player in 5th grade to an accomplished first flute in her high school band. I know that music provided my daughter with a valuable outlet in high school and continues to be a source of pleasure for her now. Working with children with autism spectrum disorders Eileen has an intuitive grasp of the supports that the children need and an understanding of behavior management. Eileen builds very effective relationships with our students and understands their different styles of communication. J. Whittinghill.
Both of our children, Paige 13, and Brian 11, have been taking music lessons from Eileen for a few years. Eileen was recommended to us by word of mouth and we are glad we found her. Eileen has a special relationship with the children, most weeks you can hear both she and the children laughing some time during their lessons. Eileen also picks music that our children like - and then will practice and play. Great Job Eileen! E. Myers

Eileen is amazing! She teaches both of my boys, but teaches them both in very different ways. She tailors her lessons to their strengths and weaknesses, and is always thinking outside of the box to come with new ways to personalize the lessons and keep her students engaged. She is always coming up with fun ideas and reward systems for all of her students as well. She makes piano fun and exciting! - J. Pustizzi
"A wonderful teacher! ... thrilled with her approach and our daughter's progress. She tailors each lesson to the individual student, following her solid curriculum at the student's pace, building on strengths and finding creative ways for the student to overcome challenges and celebrate successes. We highly recommend her! - L. Rouh
Tracy G. said... My son started lessons with Mrs. Cain at age five and has been studying with her for about a year and a half. As an elementary educator myself, I am thrilled with the progress he has achieved at a young age in such a short period of time. Sadly enough, public school budgets are constantly being cut and music programs often suffer. I truly view my son's music lessons as a integral part of his education and not just an "extracurricular activity". Eileen provides motivational techniques to help with practicing, introduces students to a variety of musical genre, and challenges my son to work to his potential in a nurturing and positive way. Children certainly are like sponges and soak up what we provide. I'm fortunate to have found someone to provide him with a solid musical foundation.
Joe is making a video for a friend of mine to capture his daughter's childhood. As he is going through the keepsakes that are to be scanned and included in the video there is a certificate signed by her piano teacher....yes it is a small world. So of course we sang praises and agreed how you profoundly shaped our children's creativity.
Both of my children Lauren age 14 and Jim age 11 have been receiving music instruction from Eileen Cain for about 18 months. I could not be more pleased with the quality of instruction and the progress my children have made. Lauren takes piano and bass lessons She had been with another teacher for bass for about 1 year, and decided to switch to Mrs. Cain because she was making such progress with piano. After a few months she came to me and said I feel like I wasted all last year, I’ve gain more skill and knowledge in just a few months with Ms. Cain then all of last year. My son began piano lessons with Mrs. Cain when he was nine and I really didn’t expect it to last, however his progress and true love of the instrument has been such a great pleasure and surprise. Mrs. Cain really keeps them interested and having fun while steadily improving. We look forward to many more years of learning and loving music with her. D. Goodfellow |
We've been using Eileen for 13 months now. She is very pleasant, dependable and professional. Elizabeth has made great strides in the last year. The reward system along with the web site has quicken the pace of improvement. Thank You Eileen - D. Saunders
